We have had Lafuma reclining chairs for many years but at our great age they have become too heavy for us to carry round the garden so we have passed them on to younger family members. To replace them we have obtained the AluCham folding chairs, being Aluminium very light, and with sturdy arms to push down on when getting up. When reclined, the back is high enough to support the head. The Lafuma shades fit. For a foot rest, we thought the Lafuma foot stool might be too low, so have ordered the camping stool instead - not yet arrived. A higher footstool might be a good idea.

Delivery takes almost 2 weeks, customer service don't come back to you, any faulty items they don't rely back to and despite trying to cancel an order I just made they said they couldn't as it was put on the carrier but it was dispatched almost a week later. Surely they could have cancelled but I imagine as I was ordering from the UK they know its would be awkward to return and costly to do so so they ensured the items were dispatched regardless. Also on a previous order the chair wasn't even and one leg shorter than the other so it kept on tilting back and forth. This is the standard and quality workmanship you get from Lafuma! What a joke

Avoid at all costs

Poor logistics delivering to UK

I never received the chair as there was a mix up with my address. I called customer service to rectify this and was assured it had been done, I called DPD to see whether they could do anything their end and they couldn’t. Seems that Lafuma’s system doesn’t allow correction if a mistake at their end has been made. The customer service lady was lovely and helpful so it’s really a fault of the system. I had to order the chair again. I need to check if I was refunded, I only received an email to let me know the chair was on its way back to France, no apology and no notification of refund!

Never again will I order Lafuma

Never again will i order Lafuma - in particular from their factory Retailer....... 1. Discovered I had ordered the recliner model in Blue which was my mistake HOWEVER I e-mailed them to ask for the order to be halted/altered and they ignored this. So basically the 2 recliners arrived and i am stuck with them ! 2. Inferior quality to previous purchase I made.
